Default Word 2003 Problem

I installed the office word 2003 in my office computer one month back. It
worked fine for the past one month. But now the office word2003 frequently
process some thing in the back ground and also shows the sand clock on the
screen and stuck for a moment.

I also disabled the auto save option in word. I use the Norton antivirus
corporate edition in that system. So I dont have the option to disable the
word plugins in that.

Could any one help in this regard.

Thank you.

With some versions of the Norton product it may be necessary to unregister
the calling DLL by running the following command line from Windows Start
Run

regsvr32 /u "c:\program files\norton antivirus\officeav.dll"
or
regsvr32 /u "c:\program files\norton systemworks\norton
antivirus\officeav.dll"

Try a search of your hard drive for the dll then change the path in the
command line.
