Default word 2002 - can't save/save as a document

I have been using Word 2002 and today tried to save a document, but Word
would not respond. I tried re-starting my computer and also ran disk
clean-up, but am still having the same problem. It doesn't affect Excel.

Thanks for any help or suggestions!

Thanks, but I just read another post that linked the problem to Microsoft
Update KB908531, so I uninstalled it and all is well again.

If you installed Windows updates recently, you may need to uninstall the
KB908531 update.

You can remove the offending update from Add/Remove Programs, where it shows
as "Security Update for Windows XP (KB908531)". Make sure the "show updates"
box at the top is ticked or you won't see hotfixes in the list.
