Default How do I disable xml in word 2003

Hi,

When copying items out of Word 2003 and pasting them into other applications
XML is getting insterted into the application that we are pasting into. Can
we disable word from inserting XML when copying and item in word 2003?

Hi Nick -

AFAIK, once you copy text from Word *it* has nothing to do with how that
text gets pasted into another file. I believe that is up to the OS &, more
specifically, the target application.

You might check to see if the (unidentified) application you're pasting into
has the equivalent of an EditPaste Special command that offers more options
than just Paste.

AFAIK, the default data format that Word normally puts on the clipboard is
HTML, but it may depend on what you are copying. You don't say what
application you are pasting into, or how you are pasting it but to be
getting XML I think you (or your app) must be doing something deliberate.

Also AFAIK, there is no way to control what formats Word puts on the
clipboard, or which one it sets as default.
