In word 2003 I delete footnotes automatically created after I cut and paste
infro from a resource but there is still a line at the bottom
of the page. I need to get rid of the line by turning off footnotes? Can
you tell me how to do that?

You have to be sure to delete the footnote where it occurs in the text,
i.e., where the footnote number appears. Otherwise, you may end up with a
blank footnote instead of no footnote.
