Default Macro to Find/Replace (with MailMerge Field)?

This may not be the correct forum, but I'll try...Is it possible to write a
macro that will replace all occurances of a text string with an available
field from a MailMerge source (specifically Access97)?

I have a number of letter templates that change frequently, and I would like
to automate this process if possible.

If I have understood your requirement correctly, then
http://www.gmayor.com/Autotext_replace.htm will do this.
