When I am typing and use a hard return, the font often changes from my defult

Default font change
Is the style changing? When you press Enter after a heading, the following

Default font change
I think "Courier" is your default font not "Arial". You can check this by
closing all documents and open a new one. See the font selected by default in Font pane. Is it courier. You can change your default font through - Format - Font - choose a Font and click the Default button. Let us know, if this information is useful to you.
