Replace Word 2003 with Word 2000.
You can disable *some* of the task panes in 2003, but they are an integral part of the application. http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...owTaskPane.htm If you don't need the new features and interface, why did you 'upgrade'? -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Yrsanix wrote: How do I successfully totally disable the task pane in all cases i.e. new documents, clipboard, research, thesaurus, find, whatever, etc. and replace it with usefull dialogboxes? My whish is because I do not like "upgrades" which: changes or makes shortscuts more dificult to use. /Yrsanix, PS Company PC - not leaving me a change to choose wheter to upgrade or not.
