Office2003 administrative deployment in an Active Director Setting
We are deploying Office2003 using an MST called on by the setup.ini. We are currently creating a new Windows image to be deployed throughout the organization - using OSD to save users' templates. We do not want to save users' settings as they are a mess, and we want to create uniformity in settings. The problem: In the deployment process normal.dot is copied back to the Templates folder (good), however the first time Word opens it overwrites the user's normal.dot and creates a default normal.dot (bad). Where can we set the deployment settings so that normal.dot does not revert to default? We would like for each user to be able to use the normal.dot template he has set for himself before the upgrade. Thanks, Ofra |
