That's because there is no such option. Infuriatingly. You could rotate the
text 90 degrees right, and rotate everything else 90 degrees left ...

Of, if it's just a single page, do it in PowerPoint.

Thanks for the answer. I was afraid of that. How can we get Microsoft to
change that? That is pretty frustrating. I spent several hours trying to find
a solution.

That's because work like that is generally down with a desktop publishing
program, perhaps Publisher?

You'd have to enter it backward, though.

I'm a bit of a novice (compared to you gurus here), but are there no

upside
down fonts available ? Seems like a bit of an easy thing to do actually -
create an upside down (or mirrored) font, and then just use it where you
want the upside down text.... Hmmmm... may have to have a go at that.....

You haven't just opened a can of worms here -- you've built a whole damned
factory. How much kerning detail did you put into this font of yours? Do you
want the spell-checker to work on it? Do the characters sit *under* the
baseline? When you press enter at the end (start) of your line of
upside-down text, do you want the cursor to move up or down?

Ah... now that's where you experts come in ! I'm sure you could write a
subroutine that would change the order from L-R, to R-L. Something like

1. type the letter
2. backspace to before the letter just typed

Sorry ......

How much kerning detail did you put into this font of yours?

None .... sorry again.... might get around to it later. Just did it out of
interest

Do you want the spell-checker to work on it?

Yes - the spell checker works ok with it now. Puts the correctly spelt word
in upside down.

Do the characters sit *under* the baseline?

Look... it's just a simple Q&D (Quick and Dirty) effort at this stage.....
maybe later.

When you press enter at the end (start) of your line of upside-down text,
do you want the cursor to move up or down?

Ahhhh, now hadn't thought of this ! Maybe Enter to go down, and Shift+Enter
to go up or something similar. Interesting problem though... if you choose
this font after you've entered some normal text, where does the cursor go ?
I guess it would have to go down.....mmmm..... more thought required here
(you realise you've managed to get me to put off a uni assignment for at
least a couple more days........)

Regards,

Rob
