Default file save as not working any ideas

when I click on file save as nothing happens in word, no dialogu box appears.

It is working in other office apps. I have run a virus scan and found
nothing. I have tried an office repair and it is not resolved.

Possibly the issue described at "Problems in Windows Explorer or the Windows
shell after you install security update MS06-015"
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=918165

If that's not the problem, look in Tools | Macro | Macros and see if there
is a macro (anywhere other than in the "Word commands" list) called
FileSaveAs. If so, it is hijacking your Save As command and will need to be
deleted.
