Thank you. We will be updating from Office 2000 to 2003 if we will be able to scan our Word and Excel documents. I have since found an article in PC magazine which indicates that this is possible. Existing Word and Excel documents will transfer to Office 2003.
Yes, Office 2003 has document imaging, both scanning into TIFF format and OCR. You need OCR to get something useful in Word or Excel. The software that came with my scanner is better, though.
