How to lock connectors to text boxes in Word
Have text boxes in a Word document. Trying to use "connectors" but cannot get
the blue connector sites to display on the text boxes, no matter what is selected or where the line is dragged. Only the green "unlocked" connector ends show. What is being done wrong? TIA |

[Since I try to get rid of that thing as soon as possible, I wouldn't really know, and I do most of my desings of such type in PowerPoint or Visio and import them later.] HTH Robert -- /"\ ASCII Ribbon Campaign | MS \ / | MVP X Against HTML | for / \ in e-mail & news | Word |

How to lock connectors to text boxes in Word
If this is Word 2002 or 2003, the connectors work only in a drawing canvas.

How to lock connectors to text boxes in Word
Hi Masyasha,
To get a drawing canvas to work with (so you'll have the active connectors in Word) you can use Insert=Picture=New drawing then add your shapes and connectors. The method Robert mention, working in Powerpoint then copying the result to Word may also work for you. A Powerpoint slide is effectively a Drawing Canvas and the connectors work while in a slide. You can use the Drawing toolbar in both Word and Powerpoint. For Word's active (blue dot) connectors to work the use of a drawing canvas/container (named MS Draw in earlier versions) has always been needed. ========== "masyasha" wrote in message ...
