Does anyone know whether we can use the paradox files (a file with '.db' extension) as mailmerge datasource in word 97 or not?

When i try to merge a word 97 template with 'hskdata.db' as datasource, i get the error:
"run-time error 5922:
word was unable to open the datasource"

I dont think there is anything wrong with the ODBC DSN which is setup to "Microsoft Paradox Driver(.db)". My Operating System is winXP professional. Has anybody got any idea wat i can for it?

Any comment would be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance
