Some how my MS Word has become programed to give me 'clicking' sounds, even
with the speakers off, with each key stroke plus even more maddening is I can not type "double" letters, ie, tt, dd, etc without waiting 5 seconds between key strokes. It gets even worse in that if I wanted to backspace (or delete) more than one character at a time, the five second time delay also applies. Same for space bar. HELP - - - GET ME OUT OF THIS MESS!!! |

In Windows, click on Start | Control Panel | Accessibility
Options | Keyboard tab | uncheck the boxes for "Use FilterKeys" and "Use StickyKeys" | OK. trebor wrote: Some how my MS Word has become programed to give me 'clicking' sounds, even with the speakers off, with each key stroke plus even more maddening is I can not type "double" letters, ie, tt, dd, etc without waiting 5 seconds between key strokes.
