Page numbers are inserted by means of a field in the page footer. If you
start a new document, of course there is only one page! -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org nannee wrote: how do I edit page numbers? |

In Word, you don't add pages, you add contents and Word adds pages as
required. Once the document has more text that can fit on a page, a soft break will be inserted automatically. If you need instructions on how to add page numbers, see the following article: How to control the page numbering in a Word document http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Numbering/PageNumbering.htm -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "nannee" wrote in message ... how do I edit page numbers? |
