Default Header Problem

Hello!

I'm running XP and Word 2003.

I have a table that's laid out in landscape format...technically, it's the
cover of a document. Problem is that it seems to be inserted in the header,
making the header take up most of the page. I cut the table out of the
header and made *sure* it was in the body (not the header) and yet, when I
go to view the header, there it is, sitting in the now-enormous header. I"ve
also opened a new document and the same thing is happening.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any assistance.

Are you sure you don't just have the header hidden? See

Default Header Problem

No - definitely not.

I could send you a screenshot if you'd like.

I still haven't figured out what is happening. I cut the table and inserted
it in to a new doc - and it still looks like the table is in the header but
I realize it's not because it's not repeating on other pages (and the page
setup is correct). It's just that the header gets HUGE and takes up the
whole page - and it looks like the table is inside.

Default Header Problem

New document:

From the FAQ:

28. My blank document has text in it - an old letter, etc. See
http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/AppErr...ocNotBlank.htm.

Old document: It sounds as if your table is in your header - the first-page
header. Go into that header. Click in the table. Then use:
Tables Select Entire Table
Ctrl-C to copy and then delete the table using the menu command.

Go back into the body and paste your table.

Default Header Problem

On the Layout tab of Page Setup, make sure that the vertical alignment is
set to Top, not Center.
