Hello!
I'm running XP and Word 2003. I have a table that's laid out in landscape format...technically, it's the cover of a document. Problem is that it seems to be inserted in the header, making the header take up most of the page. I cut the table out of the header and made *sure* it was in the body (not the header) and yet, when I go to view the header, there it is, sitting in the now-enormous header. I"ve also opened a new document and the same thing is happening. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any assistance. Laura Johnson |

Are you sure you don't just have the header hidden? See

No - definitely not.
I could send you a screenshot if you'd like. I still haven't figured out what is happening. I cut the table and inserted it in to a new doc - and it still looks like the table is in the header but I realize it's not because it's not repeating on other pages (and the page setup is correct). It's just that the header gets HUGE and takes up the whole page - and it looks like the table is inside. Laura "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote in message ... New document:
From the FAQ: 28. My blank document has text in it - an old letter, etc. See http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/AppErr...ocNotBlank.htm. Old document: It sounds as if your table is in your header - the first-page header. Go into that header. Click in the table. Then use: Tables Select Entire Table Ctrl-C to copy and then delete the table using the menu command. Go back into the body and paste your table. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/ which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup. On the Layout tab of Page Setup, make sure that the vertical alignment is
