In excel I want to hyperlink a word directory, not the actual documents. I
do not want to hyperlink each individual word document into the excel spreadsheet. I just want to be able to go (from excel) to the directory where these word documents are stored on my hard drive. Can this be done, or would I have to write a macro in excel that opens the word directory? |

Just modify the hyperlink so it points to the directory rather than a
specific file. If you have already created the hyperlink, right-click it and select "Edit Hyperlink". Then delete everything after the folder you want to open. Otherwise, when creating the hyperlink, select a file in the folder but then in the Address text box delete the backslash after the folder and the file name.
