Default How do I save auto correct entries

I am running Windows 98 and Word 2000...I want to save my Auto Correct
entries and use them on a laptop computer I just bought. Can someone give me
step by step instructions on where to find the file that contains the Auto
correct entries, so that I may back it up? I looked at
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...utocorrect.htm, but this
didn't help. Thanks!

The article in question is your best bet for backing up and restoring
AutoCorrect entries. You can locate the .acl files manually, but there's no
guarantee that you'll replace them correctly, and the formatted AutoCorrect
entries are stored in Normal.dot. If you want to back up ALL your AC entries
and transfer them to another computer, you need the macro you can download
as part of the AutoCorrect.zip file.
