Default Automatic save documents

I worked on a document and after a couple of hours it was not saved
automatically. Is that possible? How can I set that my document is being
saved every few minutes?

No, Word has no built-in way to automatically save documents. For more, see:
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/general/AutomaticSave.htm.

However, Graham Mayor provides a macro for this purpose. Go to the
Downloadable files section of his website at http://www.gmayor.com and look
for "SaveReminder.zip".

The macro on my web site is actually provided by Microsoft and you probably
already have it - however I have made it easily available for convenience.
The accompanying article http://www.gmayor.com/automatically_backup.htm
explains some alternatives.

Thank you so much, I did have a look and note that the macros is for Wiindows
2000. We have windows 2002 XP. Is there a newer version, or does this marco
works for my pc?
Thanks for the clarification,

Ursula
