Do you mean a large three line high bracket? If so use the appropriate
characters from the basic shapes subset of Autoshapes on the Drawing toolbar. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org |

The simplest way is to use the tools on the Drawing toolbar. Click
AutoShapes and then Basic Shapes, and choose the bracket or parenthesis from the bottom row. Then drag a rectangle to the size you want. To get fine control of the size and position of the shape, hold down the Alt key while you drag with the mouse. You could also use the Equation Editor (Insert Object Microsoft Equation 3.0), which has bracket and parenthesis templates in the leftmost button of the second row on the toolbar. As you type text into the template's box and press Enter to go to the next line, the bracket expands automatically. Use the Style Text menu item to get non-italic text. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
