Default Saving word automatically

Does anyone know of any third-party software that will
automatically save an open word document every minute or
so. I've been looking around but can't find anything.
There are lots of backup solutions, but they don't work
on an open document.

I know all about the autosave/autorecovery function and
I'm set up to use it, but it's really only for use in
case of a crash. What I want is something that will
actually save my open working word document about once a
minute without me having to remember to do it.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Cheers

But the only way the autorecovery file will be of any use/be accessible to
you, is in the event of abnormal program termination. It is NOT a
substitute for you saving the documents yourself following the procedure
mentioned by Jay.

Setting the Autorecoversave interval to one minute is not recommended
especially for a long document (where the feature is likely to be of most
benefit) because the time that the operation may take will interfere with
your work.

Under "Options", "Save" you can set a time for 'Autorecovery' in Word.
if you want it done every minute, you can just plug in that time.
