I used to be able to double click the little crossbox at the top left of a
table (sorry, not sure what it's called - perhaps the table selector?) and it would automatically open the properties dialog for that table. However, now when I double click, it selects the paragraph of text directly previous to the table. I'm not sure how I managed to change this...anyone know why this is or how I can fix it? |

It's called the Table Handle. I confess I hadn't realized (or had forgotten)
that it opened the Table Properties dialog. FWIW, you can usually right-click anywhere in a table and find Table Properties on the shortcut menu. -- Suzanne S. Thanks Suzanne. Yes, I know I can right click and open the properties box,
but I've been double-clicking for so long that it's second nature, so I'm constantly having to remind myself. Not a critical thing, but one of those irritating issues...and frustrating, since I don't know why I lost this capability in the first place! Jen |

Would it make a difference whether the table was wrapped or not? I can
imagine that if the table were wrapped, then it might be anchored to the previous paragraph. This is just pure guesswork, though. I operate mostly in Normal view, so I never see the table handle. -- Suzanne S.
