Anything that has color is printing in stripes. Its not only word documents,
it's also anything printed from the internet and excel. Its background colors and colored fonts. Did I somehow put a command on anything printed in color? Other than that the printer works fine (Canon Multipass F60). (Grayscale and black print fine). Any suggestions? |

I suspect you're out of ink in one or more cartridges.
Change your print cartridges and see how you go. On 22/7/06 9:44 AM, in article , "jr1204" wrote: Anything that has color is printing in stripes. John is most likely correct, but one thing you may want to check first is
whether your printer offers any sort of cleaning routine. If so, run that first & if it doesn't remedy the situation there should be some sort of diagnostic software that will tell you which cartridge(s) need replacement. To continue on that track, if one or more print heads are clogged by
dried ink, you may need to run the cleaning routine two or three times. To do that, go to Start Settings Printers and Faxes, right-click your printer, select Printing Preferences, and (assuming your F60 has the same dialog as my S530D) click the Maintenance tab. Print a test sheet after each one -- the button for "Nozzle Check" will be in the same dialog as the cleaning command. to print a grid or other pattern that indicates the state of each row of holes in the print head. After trying the built-in cleaning, if you still don't get all the rows to print, then the next step is to use a cleaning kit such as the one at http://www.inksite.com/productdetail...M_Brand=Canon&. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit.
