Post-Print using Word, unresponsive PC for upto 30 seconds
At work we have one of those all in 1 printer-scanner-fax-copier
machines, a Brother 5440CN connected using USB, whenever we try to print we get a certain period of time after pressing OK in which the PC is unresponsive, this can be upto 30 seconds (usually labels or simple half page text), which is annoying because it means the user has to stop working until the PC is responsive again. Why is this? Tried re-installing the updated driver but there seems to be only one available for it. The PC is pretty ****, without much RAM and has Win98. The previous printer (some crappy Lexmark) worked fine, AFAIK also used USB. |
