I wanted to make a suggestion for a feature in Word...
It would be nice if I could copy some text (say, a paragraph) from one document to the clipboard and paste it over existing text in another document, and have Word "merge" the two text blocks together marking the differences as if I'd done a Compare and Merge. It would be handy when, as often happens in my job, someone makes a suggestion for changing part of a document but they don't put the changes in the source document (using Track Changes), the proposed new language doesn't come from a Word document (i.e., it was typed into the body of an e-mail), or otherwise merging the two documents isn't advisable/convenient. The support.microsoft.com site suggested that this was the appropriate place to messages about feature suggestions/requests. I hope the right person(s) locate this message and it's given its due consideration.
