Could somebody tell me the charater representation for hard line returns. I
am trying to clean up some text and have non-printing characters (the arrow shown on the keyboard "Enter" key) that I am unable to identify with the "Search and Replace" feature. I have used the "^13" text to replace carriage returns but they don't select this non-printable character. I have looked at the following web site, but don't see anything that matches: http://office.microsoft.com/en-ca/as...331361033.aspx Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tyler |

Tyler,
It is ^l that is caret and lower case L. You might try: http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/Clean_Up_Text.htm -- Greg Maxey/Word MVP See: http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/word_tips.htm For some helpful tips using Word. "Tyler T" wrote in message ...
