Default How can I turn on the add word to dictionary function in Word?

Anyone know the answer?
I can not add a technical word to the dictionary.
I'm not sure if this is a local IT question and would like to better
informed before taking it to them.

It's not a local IT Question.

The "Language" of the custom dictionary and the language of the text you are
spell-checking must match (and the custom dictionary must exist and be
active) otherwise Word has no place to add the word to. Generally, it's
best to set the Custom Dictionary to "No Language" so that it matches text
in ANY language (there are 29 flavours of English: either set NO language,
or you need a custom dictionary for each of those languages to ensure that
it's going to work with text from anywhere...)

Look up "Troubleshooting spelling" in the Help for more...

Hi ?B?a2VuNjZ4?=,

I can not add a technical word to the dictionary.
I'm not sure if this is a local IT question and would like to better
informed before taking it to them.

There can be various reasons for this option to not be available, but
the most common one is that the languages of the text and of the Custom
Dictionary do not match, exactly. If you need more help, you have to
tell us the version of Word you're using.
