Opening Word Documents
Up until yesterday when I tried to scan a document into an application so I
could e-mail to my boss for editing, my word documents opened on one click with Word. Noiw when I single click the document, it opens up gibberish. IF I right click on the document and choose "open with", I can choose from several programs, including Word, which is how I now must open my documenst. How do I make them open in one click in Word, like I used to. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Bobbi |

Opening Word Documents
Did you install something new on your computer? It sounds like the computer
has lost the ability to associate a file with a .doc extension with Word. Got to Control Panel - Folder Options, and click on the "File Types" tab. Scroll down until you see doc and make sure it shows the Word icon on the left and "Microsoft Word Document" on the right. If not, use the buttons at the bottom of the dialog box to fix it.
