Default Toolbar Button grayed out

I moved the "Dictionary" button from the customize box up to my toolbar. Once
I closed the customize box, the button grayed out and won't do anything, even
if I have a word typed and chosen. Any idea why this is happening?

You are not alone. I tried it and the same thing happens to me. I can use
the options off of the menu though to get to it. Maybe you are better adding
the options button instead of the dictionary button, gets you there quicker
and it works.

Thanks. Can you fill me in on how to go the route you're talking about?

Basically I went to Customize Toolbar and added the Options choice under
tools to the toolbar. When you click it it auto opens the options menu, you
can click on the Spelling and Grammar tab and get to the Dictionary options.
