Default Table of Contents question

Hi, Not sure if this is where i should post this question. I've set up Table
headings as a style I've called Heading 6,table BUT I have to write in APA
writing style which means in-text my tables look like this

Table 2.1
Empirical Research Studies in the 1990's (this line is in italics)

And I've labelled this second line of heading style as Heading 8

Hence when i try and insert a table of contents, I can get it to do this.

Table 2.1
.................................................. ................... 5

Table 3.1
.................................................. ....................8

but what I need it to do is include the table title so it looks like this

Table 2.1 Empirical Research Studies in the 1990's ........5

Table 3.1 blah blah blah ..............................................8

How can I get it to recognise 2 separate styles of headings and if I can't
(which I assume I can't) - can I use field codes to pick up this second line
and if so - HOW???

Thank you
Carla

Default Table of Contents question

Although the NG is really intended for questions about the kind of tables
with rows and columns, it seems like a lot of TOC questions do end up here.
You may want to see my article at
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/TOCTips.htm, which covers this sort of
issue along with others.
