Hi all,
I've been recently trying to password protect a Word file (for opening), but whenever I do, it simply fails to work and does not require a password for opening. I'm using Word 2002 SP3 (10.6804.6811) & Win XP Home SP2 (5.1.2600 Build 2600). I have recently updated via the respective websites both Word (well Office) & Win XP with all the necessary bug fixes & security patches etc. But still nothing! Is there something I'm doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks Leo |

John, you are an absolute genius! I was infact saving the document as an .RTF
which of course not only doesn't allow passwording, but also takes up a massive amount of unneccessary space compared to .DOC. Many thanks for your help! Leo |
