Here's the problem that I have and I haven't been able to get anything even
from our experts locally.

I make many documents using the pleaded paper format (they are legal
documents). The problem is that I have to keep the spacing correct. When
creating a document with a table in it, the spacing within the cells can be
managed. However, when going from one row to the next it is just slightly
more than the spacing of the pleading.

At first, this offset is barely noticable, but if you work in a table and
suddenly have a page full of rows, the spacing discrepency is very obvious.

My spacing between pleaded numbers is Exactly 22.75 pts.

Now, here are my parameters for the solution.
1) I can't use macros of any kind;

2) My tables are not absolute in length. Although I do have defined colums
(width & wrap-around), the number of rows varies depending on the amount of
information that is needed.

3) PLEASE HELP!!! This problem has been plagueing me for over three
years!!!!

Assuming we're discussing Word 2002 or 2003: Table/Table
Properties/Table/Options lets you set the space between the cell borders and
the text. You can't set it to less than 0, but you can increase it so that it
occupies and entire line...

Alternately, you could try decreasing the line height for the text IN the
table.

See, I've tried that. I wish there was some way to make the spacing between
the cell borders to just a little less than zero. You see, I've tried what
you asked in the past and it almost works. Here's the problem with your
suggestions. With the spacing set to zero, my cell currently takes up just a
fraction over one line on my pleaded sheet.

Therefore, if I increase it I actually overlap to another line, making my
problem more obvious. The difference in spacing is so minute, that I have to
create a table that is at least nine rows long before you actually notice a
discrepancy.

Currently, my line height is set at zero as well. I can't seem to make the
table more compact in terms of spacing between the cells. And I can't change
the spacing of the text withtin the cell at it too needs to line up to the
pleading on the side. What a pickle, huh?

Unless yourself of someone comes up with a solution, I may have to just go
back and format the pleading, making it just a little bit more spaced out to
allow for me to actually tweak the spacing within any tables. It would
appear that the spacing on my pleading is too little (exactly 22.75 pts) to
accomodate the minimal spacing defaults of a table in word.

Any other suggestions or comments?
