I used to have a macro that prevented the Getting Started window/box from
appearing each time I launch Word. But I lost it when my hard drive crashed. Is there a way to prevent Getting Started from appearing? |

You should just be able to go into Word, Tools | Options and uncheck Startup
Task Pane on the View tab. Close and reopen Word and the Getting Started window will not appear. You probably had the Task Pane Controller add-in. See
