Sounds like it is corrupt. Did you save it to removable media?

Just curious -- when you say "removable media" are you including USB flash
drives? Dan wrote in message ... Sounds like it is corrupt. Did you save it to removable media? -- Terry Farrell - Word MVP http://word.mvps.org/ "conigio" wrote in message ... in word 2003 i saved a document but now i can not read it because it is now coded. how do i get it back again? |

You wouldn't think so, but some users have reported problems with these.

Certainly they have lower read/write speeds than hard disks. Maybe that's
it. (Thanks for your support in the other ng Suzanne...) "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote in message ... You wouldn't think so, but some users have reported problems with these. -- Suzanne S. Except the "Beware of trusting AutoSave." Word hasn't had AutoSave in years,
and even when it did, it was the same as the present "Automatic backup," which does *not* overwrite an existing document. This description seems to be a mishmash of AutoRecover and automatic backup. -- Suzanne S. Robert and Suzanne,
Thanks for the info. I use a flash drive as both back-up and as a way of transporting files from machine to machine. I'll stop saving directly to the drive. Dan "Robert" wrote in message ...
