Default Deleting words from Dictionary

I need to delete words from the main dictionary. Is there an easy way to do
that? I tried to follow a question and answer from 2005, but couldn't get it
to work.
Thanks!

Thank you! Haven't tried it yet, but it looks very doable. And then I can
keep adding words to the file as needed, I assume. I appreciate your help!

Yes, and something the article does not, I think, say, is that if you add
the exclude dictionary to your "custom dictionaries" (Tools | Options |
Spelling and Grammar), you can open it for editing from that dialog just as
you can Custom.dic. This makes it especially easy to add terms.
