Default STYLE NOT USED

Hi,

Can anyone suggest a cause for the following?

In a Word 2003 document, I click in text with an associated style. This
style duly displays in the Styles and Formatting pane. However,
right-clicking the style entry in the pane produces a menu that says "Select
All: Not Currently Used".

Why is Word telling me the style hasn't been used when it has?

Thanks,

What Word is saying is that you cannot use the Select All command
(which selects all instances of a style or a certain combination of
formatting). For this command to be enabled, you have to check the
"Keep track of formatting" option in Tools | Options, Edit tab.
