Cannot see all folders via File/Open Cannot see all folders via File/Open is offline

Default Folder in Microsoft Office Suite

I can see all the files via Explorer; however, if I open a file from
Microsoft package (such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint), by clicking on
File/Open, I cannot see all the folders that I can see from Explorer. Is
there a way to fix the problem? What do I need to do in order to see all
folders rather than going through Explorer?
