Default SAVEDATE in Template

I have created a template and inserted the SAVEDATE field in the following
format: SAVEDATE \@"M/D/YYYY" \* MERGEFORMAT . When I create a NEW document
from this template, the field starts out as 0/0/0000 as I would expect.
However, after I SAVE the new document the field does NOT update. Even if I
close the document and re-open it, the field still does NOT update. I have
to either PRINT the document or manually update it (by F9 or right-click
UPDATE FIELD). Is there some way for this to automatically update (to the
last saved date)? (I submit these files electronically so often DO NOT print
them before hand.)

Thanks,
Wendy

Use the macro in

I posted it in response to a request to update a filename field, but
it updates all fields.
