Can anyone explain, in easy terms, how to make an index page from a
long Word Doc? The help system is very unfriendly |

Creating Index in Word 2003
There is no simple way of creating an index. It's rather labour-intensive.
You could try to read your way through this: http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting/Createindex.htm Andrew "Bookworm" wrote: Can anyone explain, in easy terms, how to make an index page from a long Word Doc? The help system is very unfriendly |

Creating Index in Word 2003
Andrew has referred you to a good article on creating an index (an
alphabetical list of specified terms, with page numbers). Because of your use of the term "index page," I wonder if you may be referring instead to what Word (and most of the world) calls a table of contents (a chronological list of the contents, with or without page numbers). If so, see http://www.ShaunaKelly.com/word/toc/CreateATOC.html -- Suzanne S. Barnhill Microsoft MVP (Word) Words into Type Fairhope, Alabama USA Word MVP FAQ site: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit.
