Am curious as to Word's ability to Lock Folders? Can it? I am in an office
where it would be wise to keep certain files locked for just myself or an
assistant. Can Word lock Folders? If so, are all files in said folders
locked?

Not that I know of.

This is an issue for Network Rights Management.

Word (like most programs) cannot lock or protect folders.

Security at that level is provided through the operating system and/or
networking. Word will only enable Password Protection on a per file basis.
