Default Office 97 work on my WinXP system?

I have this problem too. I have Office 97 Proffessional Editon. I also bought
Office XP Proffessional Edition Upgrade. I should be able to put 97 in and
upgrade to XP. That's the whole idea of buying an upgrade.
XP won't take my Office 97 - bummer.

You might want to post in microsoft.public.office.setup. If Office 97 was an
upgrade version, you will need the CD or first diskette from the previous
full version.
