Is there a way to insert a checked checkbox into the output document from a
mailmerge. I have a number of columns that contain "y" or 'N" and would like
to insert a checked box when the column is Y.

Use an If...then...Else... field construction that inserts the appropriate
Wingdings symbol based on the result of the test of the mergefield.
