The keyboard of my Dell Inspiron 700 has blue numbers and digits on several
of the keys such as 7890uiopjkl;m./ plus on some of the function keys. What do you do to make these work and why are they there? Thanks |

If you ever get around to reading the user manual that Dell supplied, you'll
find out the the Fn key changes the results of pressing those keys. Mostly it's so you can use the "number pad" keys even though the laptop doesn't have a separate number pad. Offer: I'll come and buy you a beer if you can explain why you posted this question in a Microsoft Word newsgroup. :-) -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit.
