Default Drop down box in a form

I have created a form and have used drop down boxes in several places. I
would like to give the user the option of choosing from the drop down box or
entering their own data. Is this possible? It seems as if you are only able
to choose from the drop down list.

That requires a Combo Box, which is an ActiveX control, not available as a
form field.

Is it possible to create the form in Excel? Using data validation, you
can create a drop-down menu that allows users to enter their own text.
It'll also let you create prompts to give users instructions on what to
enter in a particular field; the prompts display when users select the
cell. HTH
