Default Autorecovery error

In Word 2003 on a Windows 2000 machine my end users regularly received the
following error:

"You cannot save while the file is in use by another process. Try saving
the file with a new name.
(C:\...\AutoRecovery save of [doc name]"

Any thoughts? Could this be related to our Doc Mgmt system (Docsopen)?

Default Autorecovery error

It could, but it is more likely to be that you have non-standard characters
in the file name. Even though non-alphanumeric characters are permitted,
they interfere with some features of windows programs.

For this error, exclamation points (!), percent symbols (%), and number
signs (#) in the file name have been known to cause the problem. I have also
seen where removing parentheses and possibly dashes gets rid of the error.

Default Autorecovery error

Hi I am getting this problem. I have avoided the char as listed in Article ID
: 818103 but the problem is still there.

Only way I can use word is to turn off Autorecovery.

Anyone know what I am doing wrong.
