![]() I save Word documents to a CR-RW for backup. They save automatically as "read only". How do I stop this? |

You don't :-(
Copy the file back to your Hard Drive & open that copy... Likewise, don't try to save directly to any type of removable media, either. You can't. Files on a CD (even CD-RW) are read-only by definition. When you
copy them back to your HD (which you should do before trying to open them in Word), you can clear the read-only flag. -- Suzanne S.
