Default Word 2007 templates

Where does Word 2007 file away its templates? I have tried saving a newly
created template a couple of ways -- by filing it where Word 2003 saved them
(that didn't work) and by creating it in 2007 and doing a Save As a template
..dotx (that didn't work either, at least when I tried to start a new document
from My Templates, that one was not listed there and I couldn't find it
anywhere.

Did you install it over an existing version of Office, or as a "clean install"?

When you use File/Save As and choose the file type "Template", what is the file
path Word proposes?

Did you try clicking the "Trusted Templates" entry at the top of the bar at the
left?

Thank you, Cindy. Clicking on the Trusted Templates worked to show me the
path.
(I'm using the Beta edition of 2007, in response to your question.)
