speed of cursor selection with cut and paste
i frequently use the select text option with the cursor to either delete
blocks of text or overwrite them. these can be several pages long and once the select area goes over the page (and off the top or bas of the screen) the speed of highlighted scrolling area is so fast that it is impossible to stop the selection at the required place. any suggestions as to how to make this scroll slower when i am doing this? -- thanks in advance, malcolm |

You can't slow down the scroll (short of hamstringing your computer), but
you can select blocks of text more easily by clicking at one end of the desired selection, using the slider on the scroll bar (NOT the arrows) to bring the other end in view, and then Shift+clicking there. -- Suzanne S.
