[Tomr]

I always open Word in "Print" view - suddenly this evening it has decided
that the "Print" view should no longer include the header and footer - it
displays the rest of the page as usual. If I click View Header & Footer
they reappear, but when I restart Word, they are hidden again.

Anyone else hit this problem and have a solution?

i have been having problems with vanishing headers/footers as well, and it is
not due to the hidden white space view. they just disappear. i put them
back in, save the document, close... when i reopen later, they are totally
gone again. this is another one of the issues i am dealing with that seems
to be related to working in "Compatibility Mode."
