Default Inline text object vertical positioning

Hi, I have a quick question regarding object positioning. I am trying to
align an inline object (equation from MathType). By default, the object is
placed lower than the text, so the next line is pushed down with white space.
This is ugly, so is there a way to center the object vertically relative to
the anchor text? Thanks!
